Three reasons why this video ad from Amazon is not getting prime results.
1️⃣ Number one is an easy fix, there’s no audio captions. So for everybody who’s consuming in the sound off world, they have no idea what’s going on. By putting captions, you’re going to give them additional content to further incline them to engage and interact with your ad.
2️⃣ Number two, the visualizations of their benefit are weak. When the person says ‘cocoa butter’ or ‘camping supplies,’ we’re not seeing cocoa butter, we’re not seeing camping supplies. If we did, it would be more seamless for the audience to understand that benefit. By making it simpler, the audience is more likely to further engage as well.
3️⃣ Number three, the branding is not strong in the video. We don’t see the Amazon packaging until about the middle of the video, and you don’t see the logo until the very end. That’s a really quick shot. They should incorporate more throughout the video, especially in the beginning where we really don’t see anything.
